CSR review Q4/2023: Sofia Stars champions holistic support for vulnerable communities

Sofia Stars is proud to announce the successful completion of its CSR activities for the last quarter of 2023. The company partnered with three different organizations and undertook meaningful projects and donations to bring a positive impact on society. In Q4/2023 our efforts were focused on supporting children deprived of parental care, children battling cancer, and dog shelters, embodying a commitment to community welfare and passionate initiatives.

In October the Sofia Stars team visited three dog shelters in Seslavtsi, Gorni Bogrov and Slatina. Our enthusiastic volunteers spent some quality time with the dogs in the shelters, took them on much needed walks and gave them some nice treats and a lot of love. Thanks to its cooperation with “Nechoveshki magazin”, Sofia Stars made a generous donation of 1 ton of dog food, over 100 dog leashes, as well as 40 meters of mesh fence to support the refurbishment of the facilities in Slatina. The total amount of the donation adds up to over 7,000 EUR, while the beautiful moments that both our team and the animals shared are priceless.

The Hope for the Little Ones Foundation embraces children deprived of parental care and creates better conditions for their growth and formation as full-fledged individuals. Throughout November and December Sofia Stars initiated a partnership with the foundation by providing vital support in the form of generous donations of various hygiene products, medicines and cleaning supplies. Moreover, the company has committed to cover the lunch expenses for five children throughout 2024 by signing a contract with kitchen Balgarche. Our team is also planning to actively participate in the refurbishment and seasonal cleaning of the two Little Houses in Knyazhevo and Ovcha Kupel, where the children live and are taken care of. The overall investment in 2023 was 7,000 EUR. Our partnership with the foundation and our efforts to provide a better environment for the underprivileged children will be carried on within 2024 as well.

Sofia Stars extended its caring support to children (0-18) battling cancer in response to a colleague’s recent and unfortunate passing from the illness in September 2023. Monthly donations of 5,000 EUR have been allocated to various foundations and initiatives, such as the Gold Foundation, Foundation Pavel Andreev and many others, in efforts to assist the fight against this devastating disease. During Christmas time our team prepared and sent gifts to the kids from the Gold Foundation as well, and was touched to bring a happy smile to the children’s faces. Sofia Stars plans to extend the donations to such initiatives in 2024 and to double the monthly amount to 10,000 EUR, in order to support as many children as possible.

Moving forward into 2024, Sofia Stars will continue its overall commitment to positive societal impact and is looking forward to further strengthening its CSR initiatives by collaborating with partners, employees and local communities.
